Adam Scott and his producer wife, Naomi Scott, are expanding their comedic footprint.
Their two-year-old production company, Gettin’ Rad Productions, has inked an exclusive first-look deal with Universal Television, which produces the actor’s long-running NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. The name of their shingle is designed to be “both stupid and aspirational,” he told The Hollywood Reporter at the time of its launch.
As producing partners, the Scotts are best known for their popular Adult Swim specials, humorously titled The Greatest Event in Television History. With this two-year pact, they’ll be focused on bringing more of that comedy brand to television.

Though he and his wife, a former Jimmy Kimmel Live! producer, intend to be increasingly active behind the camera, Scott doesn’t plan to scale back his on-camera presence. In fact, in addition to the seventh and final season of Parks and Rec, Scott will appear opposite Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie in the upcoming Sleeping With Other People; Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson in Hot Tub Time Machine 2; and Johnny Depp and Benedict Cumberbatch in Scott Cooper’s Black Mass.
News of the Scotts’ Universal deal comes as Gettin’ Rad recently wrapped production on its first feature film, The Overnight, an indie comedy in which Scott also stars opposite Orange Is the New Black‘s Taylor Schilling and Jason Schwartzman.
Gettin’ Rad is repped by WME, Mosaic and attorney Wendy Heller.
