There’s no question that Katy Perry let her colors burst in the past year.
The pop star, who celebrates her 30th birthday on Oct. 25, has had a very eventful year. This has included such career highlights as awards show performances, becoming the most-followed person in Twitter history and gracing the cover of Billboard magazine.

Twitter loves her
In February, the singer surpassed 50 million Twitter followers, giving her the most in the social-media company’s history. Not too shabby.
Shining on the Billboard cover
Shortly after her talked-about performance of “Birthday” at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, involving a zipline and a giant spinning cake, Perry appeared on the cover of Billboard with country singer and tour partner Kacey Musgraves.

In June, Perry was honored by the Recording Industry Association of America as the highest-selling digital performer ever.
500 million viewers can’t be wrong
By the 2014 halfway point, the video for her hit “Dark Horse” had logged nearly 500 million YouTube views, becoming the most-watched video of the year thus far.
