The holiday doldrums are starting to set in …
CBS was the lone network with any nonfootball originals on Sunday night — and even the NBC’s big game was down significantly from last week’s season highs.
Preliminary ratings for Sunday Night Football have the Seattle Seahawks-Arizona Cardinals showdown off 32 percent from last week with an average 5.2 rating among adults 18-49.

CBS, which saw primetime delayed by nearly an hour because of the NFL, saw a boosted 60 Minutes (1.9 adults) followed by steady outings of The Mentalist (1.3 adults) and CSI (1.2 adults). Undercover Boss (1.4 adults) was the only series to drop, shedding three-tenths of a point from last week’s episode.
The annual Sound of Music Sing-Along aired on ABC, steady with last year’s 1.2 rating in the key demo.
Fox also had a new episode of Mulaney, though the comedy shared its half-hour with yet more NFL overrun, so its tentative 1.2 rating with adults 18-49 is likely inflated.
