What is an ill-advised Jeopardy category? To some critics, the answer was on display during Monday’s episode.
The venerable quiz show is under fire after a category called “What Women Want” has been slammed as sexist by critics and Twitter users. The category featured questions about tight jeans, Pilates and crossword puzzles, all of which were given as examples of things that women consider priorities.
One clue in the category was: “Some help around the house; would it kill you to get out the Bissell Bagless Canister one of these every once in a while?” The answer was a vacuum cleaner.

Twitter was abuzz with complaints about the segment; Chicago P.D. star Sophia Bush and The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell were among the celebs to weigh in. Late Show With David Letterman lampooned the category with its Top Ten list Wednesday.
Jeopardy reps did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The segment, plus tweets with comments from Bush and O’Donnell, can be seen below.
