The Weather Wizard’s comic book roots date back to 1959, when he first appeared in The Flash No. 110. Like his name suggests, he has the power to manipulate the weather. On TV, The Flash (Grant Gustin) fought The Weather Wizard’s brother Clyde Mardon (Chad Rook) in the series’ pilot, and the villain (also known as Mark Mardon) is coming to Central City for revenge.
McIntyre played the title character in the second and third season the Starz series Spartacus. Comicbook.com was first to report the casting news after a photo of him on The Flash set was posted to Instagram.
The Flash returns on Jan. 20.
