ABC is continuing to promote its Shondaland Thursdays, releasing a steamy new promo for freshman drama How to Get Away With Murder.
In the new promo, exec producer Shonda Rhimes describes the drama, from showrunner Peter Nowalk, as a “sexy [and] fast-paced look at the law,” with star Viola Davis warning the series will “keep you on your toes and keep you guessing.”

Murder — which was a front-runner for a series order throughout pilot season — is a legal thriller that centers on ambitious law students and their brilliant and mysterious criminal defense professor (Davis) who become entangled in a murder plot that could rock their entire university and change the course of their lives. Rhimes warns that the students will find themselves sitting on both sides of the law, which fans of both Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal will find familiar.
Check out the new promo, above. Murder premieres Thursdays at 10 p.m. in the fall as part of ABC’s #TGIT — Thank God It’s Thursday — lineup featuring Grey’s at 8 p.m. and Scandal at 9 p.m.
