This past weekend marked Burger Records’ fourth annual Burgerama Festival, at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California. With more than 80 bands performing through the weekend across three stages, the festival marked that blend of chaos, energy and excitement Burger fans love.

Saturday brought fans of all shapes and sizes to the festivities, with headliners Weezer, Black Angels, Gang of Four and legend Roky Erickson, founding member of the 13th Floor Elevators, who despite the band’s infamous electric jug sound still managed to play their songs perfectly. Sunday brought more fans, and more heat, as temperatures rose with the crowd’s unstoppable spirit while they settled in for more jams.
Nineties’ hip-hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, performing on the outdoor stage, gave their first shout-out to the late Eazy-E, the man responsible for signing the group in 1993. Ariel Pink, Black Lips and Ty Segall also performed, with Segall finishing the festival with a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid.”
