Art award winners at 2015 Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Here are the winning artists for the 2015 Wild & Scenic Film Festival art exhibit. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival partnered with Nevada County Arts for the fourth year in an effort to increase awareness of the intersection between arts and the environment.

Local and regional artists submitted their environmental artwork for possible inclusion at the 2015 Wild & Scenic Film Festival in Nevada City and the selected art has been at more than 40 businesses, wineries, breweries, cafes and galleries during the 13th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Art awards were announced at the Awards Ceremony Sunday, January 18 at Miners Foundry:

2D Art:
First Place: Linda Galusha (at Lucchesi Winery in Grass Valley)
Second Place: Christiane Raymond (at Mill Street Clothing in Grass Valley)
Honorable Mention: LeeAnn Brook (at Lucchesi Winery in Grass Valley)

3D Art:
First Place: Jan Nottingham (at Granucci Gallery, The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley)
Second Place: Joe Meade (at DANK at Osborn/Woods Gallery, Miners Foundry in Miners Foundry)

Photography:
First Place: Nicole Dreon (at 151 Union Square in Grass Valley)
Second Place: Eli Rush (at Kitkitdizzi in Nevada City)
Honorable Mention: Doug Baer (at 151 Union Square in Grass Valley)

Student Work:
First Place: Megan Billingham (at Greater Grass Valley Visitors Center)
Second Place: Delphine Griffith (at Greater Grass Valley Visitors Center)

Best of Theme:
