SACRAMENTO-

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday is a day off of work for some, a regular day for others and a completely different day of working for others, still.

As they do each year, hundreds of Kaiser Permanente Doctors, nurses and employees of all background spread themselves out at local institutions to do what ever it takes to make the place look a little nicer.

This year, the focus is on education.

Kaiser, partnering with Hands on Superior California, set up shop at Samuel Jackman Middle School is South Sac, where cleaning classrooms and washing windows, were just part of the little things that go along way.

About 50 Kaiser employees were at the middle school helping with the chores, while others where at different schools in the Sacramento area.
