CARMICHAEL-

A woman believed to be responsible for the recent reports of dog torturing in Carmichael was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on Tuesday.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s detectives reviewed security footage  from the neighborhood which showed the theft of two dogs on December 26th.

FOX40 broke the story of the missing dogs, named Tiny and Boo-Boo, who were later returned home after a Good Samaritan saw the story on tv.

Boo-Boo came home unharmed, but Tiny returned home with a cord tied around her neck and tape around her mouth.

Further investigation established Wright was also responsible for an incident  when a deceased dog was found in a garbage bin with a cord around its neck, according to detectives.

Wright is currently booked at the Sacramento County Jail, and is facing charges related to grand theft of an animal, and felony animal torture.
