EL DORADO HILLS-

El Dorado County deputies are not identifying either of the women targeted as they left the 36 Handles pub early Wednesday morning but family members tell us their loved one, Khrista Ibarolle, is the woman who was killed as a night out spun into tragedy.

Connecting with people was a passion for Ibarolle, one she shared in a video about her passion for gems.

No one could know that just a few years later, walking out of the 36 Handles pub would connect her with Anderson Swift, the Oakland man El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies say shot her to death after demanding car keys and money from her and a friend.

That friend was able to escape.

Investigators believe he sped through about five miles of El Dorado Hills before he rolled Ibarolle’s Subaru and crashed into the backyard of a home along Silva Valley Parkway.

Unaware of the killing, neighbor Craig Griffin rushed to help a man he thought was just a rattled accident victim.

“He was just defintiely not in his right mind, thought there were snipers looking at him and that they were going to get him,” Griffin told FOX40. “He kept trying to go and I would just sort of take his hands and hold his hands down or shoulder and sat him on my truck and then I sat him on my wall.”

Deputies have not confirmed the identity of Swift’s alleged victim.

Speaking by phone from out of state, Khrista’s father did, also saying he was still too distraught to talk about all that he lost through what happened in the parking lot of 36 Handles.

“I can’t offer him enough I’m sorry’s and condolences. I can’t imagine what he’s going through. I have daughters myself, and a son,” said Griffin.

FOX40 has learned Ibarolle and a friend came to 36 Handles to celebrate their birthdays.

The name of that friend has not been released.

The pub closed Wednesday out of respect for the women targeted. Signs posted indicate it will reopen Thursday.

Swift remains behind bars.
