Attention, Avengers fans looking for a new desktop wallpaper: Marvel Studios has released an “exclusive official Phase 3 timeline” for its upcoming movie releases over the next four years. Finally, you can have the movie logos and dates all in one place!
Apparently, the Inhumans’ calendar’s a few days off from ours…here’s the right version of the Phase 3 MCU timeline! pic.twitter.com/Zw1xfjeOAq
— Marvel Entertainment (@Marvel) November 17, 2014
The timeline is the same graphic that appeared during the Marvel Studios event in which the various movie titles and dates were announced, allowing everyone at home to get confused about the chronological layout. Sure, when you look at it for a couple of minutes, you realize that it goes from left to right, alternating between top and bottom rows, but let’s be honest: for a second or two, you were confused how Avengers: Infinity War Part I came out before Avengers: Infinity War Part II. (Would it have killed whoever put it together to add an actual timeline in the center bar, instead of just writing “PHASE THREE”?)
Of course, if this image makes it look as if your cinematic future is already scheduled out four years in advance, just imagine how busy things will be when you factor in the extensive superhero slate from Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment… not to mention a slew of new films set in a galaxy far, far away. It’s going to be a interesting rest of the decade.
