ELK GROVE-

The Elk Grove City Council voted Wednesday night to move forward with a plan tho build a soccer complex.

Wednesday’s vote was to annex land just outside city limits to the south, off Highway 99. The application is currently being finalized.

The current plan includes 12 fields, a multi-use facility and a 9,000-seat, MLS-size stadium – all estimated to cost about $100 million.

Financing proposals will be discussed withing 90 days.
