From hyperactive Time Lords to troubled detectives and now to purple-skinned superhero villains. David Tennant’s already eclectic line of characters took another twist earlier this week when it was revealed that the Scottish actor — currently appearing on U.K. TV screens in the second season of ITV’s Broadchurch — would be starring in Netflix’s Marvel comic book drama A.K.A. Jessica Jones.
Tennant is to play the mind-controlling Dr. Zebediah Kilgrave — also known as The Purple Man — in the the upcoming series, and has revealed that the role is a childhood dream come true.
