One of two ex-wifes of comedian and actor Robin Williams was a Filipino American, reports the Epoch Times.
Marsha Garces married Robin in 1989 and divorced in 2008. The two met when Garces worked as a nanny for William’s first child, Zachary.
Garces was born in San Francisco and worked as a producer on the films Mrs.Doubtfire and Jakob the Liar and served as executive producer for Patch Adams.
Despite the divorce, which was reportedly over the comedians alcohol relapse in 2006 after 20 years of sobriety, Williams kept in touch with the Filipino side of his family.
He had fond memories of Garces father.
