William Shatner is going sci-fi again.
The Star Trek legend has booked a four-episode arc on Syfy’s Haven, the NBCUniversal-owned network announced Friday.
Based on Stephen King’s novella The Colorado Kid, Haven follows a former FBI agent (Emily Rose) who becomes a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine, and discovers the town’s secrets — which also hold the key to unlocking her own lost past. Shatner will portray a pivotal character who has the potential to forever impact the fate of the town and its troubled residents.
Haven, airing Fridays at 7 p.m., is inching toward its midseason finale, set for Dec. 5. The series will return with 13 new episodes in 2015.
For Shatner, the arc comes after guest spots on Hot in Cleveland, Castle, Rookie Blue and Psych, among others.
