Hemlock Grove star Dougray Scott has found his next gig.
With the Netflix horror drama set for its third and final season later this year, the actor has been tapped to co-star in ABC’s Quantico, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
From Gossip Girl‘s Josh Safran, the drama centers on a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. As the drama intercuts between their hidden pasts and their present training, it also flashes-forward to the near future, where one of the recruits will turn out to be a sleeper terrorist responsible for the most devastating terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

Scott will play Liam, a special agent who is also a staff counselor at Quantico, where he works with the new agent trainees. He’s Miranda’s (Aunjanue Ellis) former partner and now her subordinate. He’s good at his job but battles depression that stems from a mistake from his past. Despite his mutual fondness with Miranda, they often butt heads.
For Scott, the role brings him back into the ABC family after his recurring role as Ian Hainsworth on the network’s Desperate Housewives. His credits also include Mission: Impossible II, HItman and Taken 3. He’s repped by WME and U.K.’s 42.
Safran (Gossip Girl) will pen the script and exec produce the ABC Studios and Mark Gordon Co. drama alongside Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper. Marc Munden will direct the pilot. Tate Ellington and Graham Rogers round out the cast.
