Lake Tahoe Music Festival returns August 18-22 with “Serenades at Sunset” 2015

Bring lawn chairs, picnics and your favorite beverage as our Lake Tahoe Academy Orchestra accompanies soloists Chris Kachian, renowned classical guitarist for the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra and Laura Hamilton co-concertmaster for the Metropolitan Opera. Selections from Schubert, Mozart and Haydn will be performed.

August 18 – Sugar Pine Point Park — Featuring the music of Schubert including Arpeggioone for Guitar and Strings.

August 19 – West Shore Cafe — The music of Mozart is highlighted tonight including a Violin Concerto, no host dinner and bar available.

August 20 – Tahoe Tree Company — A beautiful park setting for the music of Schubert including the Symphony #5.

August 21 – Skylandia State Park — Under the pines and on the north shore of Lake Tahoe the music of Mozart including symphony # 33.

August 22 – Schaffers Mill Golf and Lake Club — Showcasing the music of Haydn and Violin Concerto and Symphony 91. The evening includes a barbecue dinner and glass of wine.(No picnics, this is a dinner concert).

For all concerts, gates open at 5 p.m. You’ll have the opportunity to Meet the Musicians at 5:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets for the concerts on August 18, 19, 20, 21, are $20. There is no charge for children under 12. The concert at Schaffer’s Mill is $55 and includes a barbeque dinner, glass of wine, and concert.
