LINCOLN-

A pair of sick calls resulted in one of Lincoln’s three fire stations to shut down for the day Thursday.

There are only two firefighters per station in Lincoln. City Manager Matt Brower says residents don’t have to worry.

“We have a number of staff trained as firefighters and EMTs, we also have mutual aid agreements with Roseville, Rocklin and CAL FIRE,” Brower said.

The city also contracts an ambulance service.

Lincoln is the country’s fastest-growing small city, according to a new U.S. Census report.
