SACRAMENTO-

A blood stain left behind at the scene of a smash and grab burglary has led to a suspect’s arrest – two years after the fact.

According to Valley Pharmacy owner Leonard Marr, Sacramento Police contacted him recently about the December 2012. One of the three thieves had cut his hand after smashing through the 2-inch-thick glass window, and investigators were finally able to get a DNA match.

“I guess this CSI stuff works in real life,” Marr told FOX40.

The only thing stolen that night was cough syrup.
