There’s a new leading lady coming to Shondaland: Mireille Enos.
The Killing alum is returning to the small screen with the starring role in ABC drama pilot The Catch, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The Catch is described as a thriller about a woman about to get married and about to get conned. Unbeknownst to her slippery fiance, the heroine — who investigates fraud for a living — is not all she claims to be. And when the fiance’s expertly planned con collides with her perfectly constructed lies, they plunge into a dangerous game of cat and mouse. The show is based on the novel by Kate Atkinson.

Enos is best known for her starring turn as Sarah Linden on AMC/Netflix’s The Killing, which earned her Golden Globe, Emmy and Critics Choice Award nominations. The Catch marks her follow-up TV role since The Killing, which wrapped its fourth and final run on Netflix in August. Between seasons of The Killing, Enos became an in-demand leading lady on the feature side, with roles in World War Z opposite Brad Pitt, Gangster Squad, The Captive and If I Stay. She’s repped by CAA, Gartner/Green Entertainment and attorney Mitch Smelkinson.
Should The Catch go to series, Enos would join fellow Shondaland leading ladies Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy), Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder).
Enos joins a cast that also includes Jacky Ido as an FBI agent.
