MODESTO-
A man is facing charges including homicide after a deadly DUI crash Sunday in Modesto.
According to Modesto Police, a man driving a Chevrolet Malibu hit an Audi sedan at the intersection of 8th and L Street around 2:10 p.m.
The driver of the Audi, who police say is a 38-year-old man, died later at the hospital. The 32-year-old driver of the Malibu was said to have moderate injuries from the crash.
Police say the man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, vehicular manslaughter and homicide.
Modesto Police noted that this crash was that city’s 12th deadly collision in 2014, with 15 people dead.
