SACRAMENTO-
A woman is dead after she was hit and killed by a car at the intersection of Florin Road and Gloria Drive.
According to police, the woman got out of her car around 9 p.m. Sunday and was out in the roadway. Investigators are trying to figure out why she got out of her vehicle.
“Any fatal accident is tragic and this one especially because it might be something simple as she had to get out the car to look for something, to find something or whatever the reason was,” Sacramento Police Officer Doug Morse said.
The identities of the people involved have not been released.
The other driver is cooperating with the investigation, officers said.
