Samsung Galaxy S6 release date
In case you've not had enough Samsung Galaxy S6 news for today, here's a spicy one coming straight from our inbox. We've been informed by a tipster, supposedly a Samsung employee, that vacation blackout periods are on the agenda. This can be interpreted as an indication of a possible Samsung Galaxy S6 launch during that time. The blackout starts on March 22nd and ends on March 30th, which leads us to believe that the next flagship smartphone may be released on the 22nd or a few days after.

Interestingly, there's a second vacation blackout coming up, according to the memo attached below as proof. Something big is coming on or around April 19, although we aren't sure what it could be. If our intuition is to be trusted, the launch of the Galaxy S6 Edge might be scheduled for the said date, although our tipster's guess is that the second blackout might have something to do with a Galaxy Note tablet.

Whatever the case is, we're thrilled to know that Samsung may be very quick to launch the Galaxy S6 after announcing it on March 1st. Just keep in mind that the smartphone is not likely to launch in all markets simultaneously – Korea is expected to be among the first countries to get the hot new handset, while U.S. carriers might release the Galaxy S6 a few weeks later. In other words, look at March 22nd as a tentative release date for the Samsung Galaxy S6, not as a fixed one. In the meantime, feel free to catch up on the latest leaks and rumors in our Samsung Galaxy S6 rumor round-up.

Thanks for the tip!
