Boxee founder Avner Ronen launched Public, a messaging application that allows users to participate in group chats that can be read by other users.
With the Public app, groups of chat participants can chat through text messaging, and other users can follow these conversations to keep track of their progress. Users can browse conversations based on featured topics, such as Pop Culture and Game of Thrones, among others. Users can also search for conversations to find something they’re interested in.
In addition to reading conversations, users can chat with other audience members in a separate audience area of each conversation.
