Elk Grove Police made two separate arrests, in which one of the suspects bit a loss prevention employee, at an Elk Grove grocery store yesterday.

The suspects' arrested in the two incidents were 55-year-old Pawnee Parrish of Sacramento (pictured above) and 55-year old Wendy Mil Cea of Elk Grove.

Last night Parrish was allegedly seen shoplifting merchandise at the Nugget Market on Elk Grove Boulevard by a loss prevention employee. When he was contacted outside by loss prevention employees, Parrish gave back the merchandise but refused to return to the store. 

When the employees attempted to detain Parrish, he allegedly fought with them and bit one of them on the shoulder. Parrish fled the scene and was located a short distance away by responding officers. 

Parrish reportedly did not comply with instructions and was physically taken into custody by officers. Parrish was arrested and booked into the county jail where he is being held on $560,000 bail on two misdemeanors and one felony assault charges.   

In the other mid-afternoon incident, Cea was observed stealing merchandise and was detained by a loss prevention employees. Cea was arrested and booked into the county jail for probation violation, and prior robbery charges and is being held on $50,000. 

Both suspects are scheduled for arraignment on Thursday afternoon.
