Two people were killed and two other people were injured in an overnight crash at Interstate 435 and Gregory Boulevard.Police said the driver lost control of the car, sending it off the northbound side of the highway. It landed upside down below the overpass.Four people were in the car. Police said a 22-year-old Overland Park, Kansas, man and a 21-year-old Warrensburg, Missouri, woman died at the scene. A 23-year-old Warrensburg woman in the car suffered critical injuries. A 22-year-old Warrensburg woman was also injured but is expected to survive.One of the people who died was a student at the University of Central Missouri. The two surviving victims were also UCM students.The school's president said it is working with police to notify family members."The University of Central Missouri is deeply saddened by the loss of two young lives that took place during this tragic incident. As a close-knit community, we are keeping the families and friends of these individuals and the two young women who were seriously injured in our thoughts and prayers, said UCM President Charles Ambrose. "Members of the university CARE Team will be working together to provide assistance and support for individuals affected by this tragic event.”Investigators have not released the victims' names.
