NoSQL has become more popular in big data. A framework which allows easily work with NoSQL is an essential part of Java ecosystem. This presentation will introduce the basic concepts of NoSql and example “how to integrate Mongo DB into Spring Data”.
This will be a very informal presentation.
We will go with a hands-on experience rather than theory and demonstrate a live coding session with Spring Data and Mongo DB.
We will use Google Cloud Launcher to quickly deploy Mongo DB clusters with Primary, Replicas and Arbiters.
We will use Spring Data to access and manipulate data in the Mongo DB created.
The main point of the demo will be focus on Spring Data Pattern which is very similar across different database types.
The code will be committed immediately to GitHub so if you fall behind or have error you can make pull requests to have the correct code up and running. All attendees are welcome to follow the live coding session.
If you want to follow the live coding session:
- You should bring your laptop.
- Get familiar with Git command line.
- Know basic of Java.
- Install Robo 3T or Studio 3T (paid version of Robo 3T) to visualize the data.
