The Tennessee Disability MegaConference is seeking presentations for its 17th annual gathering. We plan to fill our 1.5-day agenda with exciting, innovative and interactive sessions to make this year’s conference the best to date!

COMPLETED PROPOSALS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY NOVEMBER 30, 2018.

Presenters should be available to present May 23 or 24, 2019. The committee reserves the right to schedule the guaranteed 60-minute presentation at any time on those 1.5 conference days, but you can express a preference later in this application. You will be informed of your scheduled time by early 2019.

We encourage proposals from presenters of all abilities. If you would like to submit a proposal and cannot easily do so using this website, alternate formats are available by calling Carol Rabideau at (615) 936-5122. You can also dictate your presentation proposal by calling Lori Israel, The Arc-TN at (615) 248-5878 ext. 22.

Presenters who are chosen will be granted a presenter discount to the conference, but will be responsible for their own travel and lodging costs.

Presenters will be asked to electronically submit their presentation materials to the program committee for the purpose of ascertaining accessibility and for distribution purposes by February 28, 2019.

The Program Committee will contact chosen presenters by early January 2019.

In order to be considered, proposals must:

A. Be completely filled out.
B. Fit well within one of the 3 theme areas.
C. Have a clearly written presentation description.
D. Have clearly stated learning objectives.
E. Be submitted by presenters who have sufficient experience and knowledge of the proposed subject matter.
F. Use People First language in all areas of the application.

PART III: Audio-Visual (AV) Presentation / Technology Requests

The MegaConference will supply some audio-visual equipment in presentation rooms. Each room will be set up as follows:

theater style (chairs in rows facing a screen)

The Cumberland room is the only room that requires a microphone due to size. All other rooms should not need a microphone except as an accommodation for a disability that makes it difficult for people to hear you. Please only request a microphone for that reason.
