Corruption will be crime against people under PPP govt — Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom
The presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) for the 2016 election, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has served strong notice that under the PPP corruption will be viewed a life-threatening crime against the people.

“This is why we are committed to incorruptible leadership,” he reiterated when he addressed a gathering at the Gomoa West Constituency in the Central Region on Tuesday.
The PPP, Dr Nduom said, would build a stronger foundation from which Ghana could spring and become a prosperous nation.
Dr Nduom, therefore, asked Ghanaians to vote for him in the upcoming election.
He was in the Gomoa West Constituency to formally introduce and launch the parliamentary campaign of Charles Kofi Yawson, the PPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
Dr Nduom indicated to the gathering that “if what they seek most in the country is employment, then I am the one with the ability to create jobs for Ghanaians.”
‘Edwumawura’
Widely celebrated as ‘Edwumawura’ for his job-creating talent, he declared: “As I stand here today, Ghanaians say their main problem in this year’s election is jobs. If it is jobs you want, why vote for a lawyer? If it is jobs you need, why vote for a communicator who can’t provide you jobs but promises? The question is: Are you better off today than you were in 2009 or in 2012? If you are not satisfied, if you are fed up with mediocrity, if you are tired of promises and promises, I have one answer for you. Support and vote for change. Vote for the PPP and Papa Kwesi Nduom. Don't waste your vote this time on the people who promise a lot and deliver very little,” he told the cheering crowd.
He also told the gathering that he was not going to “stand here to promise a factory in every district because I have businesses already in each district throughout Ghana. I am also not going to promise one million jobs, because you standing here know I am already employing Ghanaians with my own money. Imagine what I can do with the state’s finances, when I have all of the states resources backing me.”
Tufuhene
The Tufuhene of Gomoa Eshiem, Nana Asam, welcomed Dr Nduom to the constituency and asked the people to support him and Charles Kofi Yawson to bring development to the people of Ghana since they had demonstrated proven capability to perform.
“If you look at the PPP, it is an orderly and well-organised party. I have every belief that when the PPP is voted into power, it will transform the country; what he has been able to do with his bank {GN Bank} is ample evidence of his abilities,” the chief said.
Accepting the challenge to lead the party to victory in the parliamentary election, Mr Kofi Yawson asked the people of Gomoa West to support him to bring the needed change the constituency desires.
