Final preparations ahead of Bryan Adams concert in Peterborough

Canadian star Bryan Adams, who holds the record for the longest run at number one in the charts with ‘Everything I Do, I Do It For You’ will play a spectacular concert on Peterborough’s Embankment on Friday night, with more than 9,000 fans expected through the gates.

Work on the stage is currently being carried out.

Bryan said: “I’m really enjoying my Get Up Tour and am looking forward to heading to Peterborough. People can expect two hours of music, and the crowds in the UK are always fantastic.”

Councillor Janet Goodwin, Peterborough City Council cabinet member for city centre management, culture and tourism, said: “To have an artist of the international stature of Bryan Adams coming to perform in Peterborough is a real coup for the city.

“He has sold a huge number of albums and singles in the UK throughout his career and I am sure many of his fans in Peterborough can’t wait for his show on The Embankment to arrive.”

Gates for the show open at 6pm, with the show starting at 8pm. Residents are warned about traffic congestion in the area when the concert finishes at about 10pm.
