The sheriff says authorities are looking for two men who escaped from the Pulaski County Jail early Sunday morning.

Sheriff Ron Long said in a news release that the inmates requested a medical check just after 1 a.m., then they stole the jailer's keys and fled the facility.

The jailer was not injured.

The sheriff says the two escapees are James Randall "J.R." Sherrell, 32, and Dustin Richardson, 27.

Sherrell is described as a white man who is 5-foot-6, 120 pounds with short brown hair, green eyes and multiple tattoos. The release says he was being held on suspicion of drug possession and interfering with an arrest.

Richardson is described as a white man who is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds with short brown hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos. The release says he was being held on suspicion of first-degree child molestation.

The release says both men should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either man is asked to call the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department at 573-774-6169 or dial 911.
