“Travel Nevada County” featured in S.F. Chronicle

We worked as a business writer/chief technology writer at The San Francisco Chronicle for 12 years, so we were glad to participate in a special section in The Chronicle promoting Nevada County CA. The stand-alone section will run in the newspaper a week from Sunday (9/18)— and online. Here’s our ad and the “pitch” from The Chronicle. We also volunteered to provide some copy for Nevada City when the Chamber asked. Our website has 2,000 archived articles focusing on food, wine & beer, art & music and destination travel in our area, making it one of the most robust for tourism. The Chronicle has published a similar section for Placer County, where we publish the official Visitor Guide. (We also publish a visitor guide for the Grass Valley Downtown Association). Both have digital components.

“The staff of Food+Home is preparing a NEW special section devoted to the attractions of Nevada County – a region with stellar restaurants, luxury hotels, excellent shopping, world-class skiing and snowboarding, biking and hiking, some of the most beautiful scenery, and three distinct downtown areas, Grass Valley, Nevada City and Truckee. In this issue, The Chronicle offers a taste of what the region has to offer.

“This September, partner with the San Francisco Chronicle in the Nevada County special destination section and reach affluent Bay Area locals actively
planning their next weekend activities.”
