Armed Robber Eludes Apprehension By Elk Grove Police

October 3, 2016 |

An unknown armed robber eluded police apprehension last night in Elk Grove.

According to information post around 9 p.m. last night on the Elk Grove Police Department's Twitter feed, officers responded to the area near Franklin and Laguna Boulevards after receiving report of an armed robbery at the Subway sandwich store. After holding-up the store, the robber fled on foot and officers searched the nearby area.

With the assistance of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department helicopter, Elk Grove Police established a perimeter near Franklin Boulevard and Castleview Drive where the suspect was last seen. The suspect, whose race was not known, was seen wearing dark clothing.

After searching the area for about an hour and not locating the suspect, the perimeter was broken down.
