WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Authorities are investigating a case of arson directed at a vehicle belonging to the Drug Enforcement Administration in Wichita.

A DEA spokesperson in Kansas City confirmed the incident took place in the parking lot of a building in the 1900 block of N. Amidon that houses DEA offices in Wichita.

According to a Wichita Police Department report, the incident took place sometime around 1:50 a.m. on October 6 in a parking lot next to the building. The vehicle burned was an SUV, according to the DEA.

The DEA spokesperson said there is surveillance video that shows two people approaching the vehicle before it was set on fire. The DEA said those two people are suspects in the case and is trying to identify them. The agency declined to provide images from the video citing them as evidence in the investigation.

The case is being investigated by the DEA, the Wichita Police Department and the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
