Elk Grove Police Arrests Suspects With Outstanding Warrants in Separate Incidents

October 26, 2016 |

Elk Grove Police took three suspects into custody on October 25, all of whom had outstanding arrest warrants.

The first apprehension was made early in the afternoon when officers were dispatched to the 9800 block of Vista Grande Way for a service call. During the call officers contacted 38-year old Michael Brandon Terry of Brentwood, Calif.

A records check revealed that Terry had an active warrant out for his arrest. After being detained, a search of Terry led to the discovery of a controlled substance and narcotic paraphernalia.

Terry is being held on a $5,000 bail at the county jail for his narcotics arrest and a warrant from the Brentwood Police Department. Arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

The second suspect arrested was 38-year old Phillip Heers of Elk Grove who was taken into custody late last night after being contacted by officers near Elk Grove-Florin Road and La Haya Drive for violation of probation and narcotics charges. Heers is not eligible for bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Thursday afternoon.

Also arrested on the 9300 block of Barth Street was 34-year old Joseph Paul Smith of Sacramento. Smith is being held and not eligible for release under Penal Code 3454(c), flash incarceration, for violation of post-release supervision.
