THE BASICS

Jackie Kemph scored 14 second-half points en route to a game-high 20, and Saint Louis held a second consecutive opponent to fewer than 50 points in a 64-49 win over St. Bonaventure Wednesday at Chaifetz Arena.

•The Billikens improved to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in Atlantic 10 play with their season-high seventh consecutive win. SLU is ranked No. 4 in the ESPNW national mid-major poll.

•Saint Louis' 14-3 record matches the 1979-80 Billikens for the best 17-game start in program history.

•The crowd of 3,581 included approximately 3,000 local elementary and middle-school students attending SLU's seventh annual Education Day.

•St. Bonaventure fell to 6-11, 1-4 with its fourth consecutive loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Jenny Vliet buried a pair of 3-pointers and Jordyn Frantz added another to help stake Saint Louis to a 17-12 lead after one quarter.

•Frantz scored the Billikens' first three baskets in the second quarter, with the third one sparking a 9-0 run that put SLU on top 30-16. Maddison Gits had two buckets during the run, which was punctuated by Vliet's third 3-pointer.

•St. Bonaventure cut the lead to 12 twice, but Aaliyah Covington hit a short jumper and Jackie Kemph turned a steal into a layup at the buzzer for a 36-20 halftime cushion.

•The Billikens began the third quarter with a 13-5 spurt that featured scoring from five different players, and the Saint Louis lead ballooned to 49-25 midway through the period.

•SLU's largest lead, 62-37, came with 6:09 remaining in the fourth quarter.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

•Saint Louis extended its best-ever conference start to 4-0.

•The Billikens have held two straight and four of their last five opponents to 50 or fewer points.

•The 15-point win was SLU's 13th victory this season by a double-digit margin.

•SLU held St. Bonaventure leading scorer Mariah Ruff (14.5 ppg) to two points.

•Saint Louis had nine turnovers, the fifth time this season the Billikens have had fewer than 10 miscues. The Bills earned a 16-4 advantage in points off turnovers.

•The Billikens had two players with a double-digit rebound total – Sadie Stipanovich with a game-high 11 and Olivia Jakubicek with 10 – for a second consecutive game.

•Stipanovich and Jakubicek had five and four offensive rebounds, respectively, as Saint Louis earned a 15-8 edge on the offensive glass. The Billikens outscored the Bonnies 14-6 in second-chance points.

Jackie Kemph added five rebounds and a game-high six assists to her 20-point scoring effort. Kemph moved into seventh place on SLU's career free throws made list (278).

Jordyn Frantz tallied 11 first-half points and finished with 16.

Jenny Vliet, who moved into a seventh-place tie on SLU's career 3-pointers list (116), had 10 points and eight rebounds (three offensive).

•Jakubicek tied her career high of five assists and added three steals.

•Gabby Richmond, 18 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks, two steals; Jalisha Terry, 13 points; Mckenna Maycock, 10 points; Matea Britvar, nine rebounds; Mariah Ruff, five assists.
