Meek mill – “king”
Underwear manufacturer Ethika has announced its RGB (Red, Green and Blue) Mixtape series in hopes of pushing its brand. The mixtape will feature artists like Lil Durk, Dave East and Kid Ink. The series’ first release comes from Meek Mill and is titled “King,” which seems oddly appropriate considering his ex-girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, just got her crown jacked by Remy Ma after releasing the brutal “SHETHER” diss track. Produced by C-Sick, the track finds Mill going ham over the doomsday-sounding production. Listen above.

El-P and Killer Mike, collectively known as Run The Jewels, stopped by The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Tuesday night (February 28) to discuss their meteoric rise to fame, the Grammy Awards, being “woke,” and their undying love of marijuana. “To be woke is to smoke,” Mike proudly proclaims, as they move into the topic of politics and Bernie Sanders. Run the Jewels is currently on the road in support of Run The Jewels 3.

Rick Ross – “Buy Back the block (RefiNance)”
Rick Ross announced the purchase of Checker’s Restaurant in Carol City, Florida in January and in ode to the business venture, he’s returned with “Buy Back The Block (Refinance)” featuring Nipsey Hussle, E-40, Slim Thug, and Fat Joe. The song precedes his forthcoming album, Rather You Than Me, which is scheduled for a March 17 release via EPIC Records.

raekwon F. g-eazy- “purple brick road”
After sharing the audio last month, Raekwon is back with a visual for “Purple Brick Road” featuring Bay Area heavyweight G-Eazy. With the city skyline in the background, the Wu-Tang vet casually spits over the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League beat before Eazy takes the reigns. The track is taken from The Chef’s forthcoming solo album, The Wild, which is expected on March 24.

sean paul f. tory lanez – “tek weh yuh heart”
Following Sean Paul’s remix of Tory Lanez’s 2016 hit “LUV,” the rapper has joined the dancehall artist on the single, “Tek Weh Yuh Heart” and also makes an appearance in the subsequent video. Sampling Paul’s own 2000 hit “Deport Them,” the Stash Box Productions and Karena Evans-directed video comes complete with synchronized swimming.

Bass impresario Thundercat (real name Stephen Bruner) finally unleashed his third solo project, DRUNK, last Friday (February 24) and continues rolling out singles from the project. This time, he’s dropped “Hi” featuring Mac Miller. The song’s only available as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the record. Luckily, we can still listen to it here.

Deniro farrar – “Gentrification”
Deniro Farrar videos are always well thought out, cinematic adventures. The new one for “Gentrification” is no exception. Directed by James Rico, the visual depicts the South Carolina rapper as a slave witnessing the brutality the white slave masters impart on their victims. As one slave is being whipped, Farrar rallies the troops and makes a stand. The ending is worth the wait. The song comes from his Red Book Vol. 1 EP.
