Dreamville welcomed its newest signee this weekend and the label’s head honcho, J. Cole, made the news official today (February 20) by announcing on Twitter that J.I.D. is the newest member of his squad.

The post comes with J.I.D.’s video for “Never.” The Atlanta rapper is a member of Spillage Village and shared his Dicaprio EP in 2015.

His first project on Dreamville will be The Never Story. In a promotional video, J.I.D. tells the story of how his Pontiac has followed him through his journey. He then hops in the car with J. Cole as they ride down the street.

This comes after J. Cole took the nation by storm with his surprise album, 4 Your Eyez Only. The project topped Billboard’s 200 albums chart upon its debut in December.
