Erin Marie Schnettler and Christopher Michael Zappi were married Nov. 18 by the Rev. Joseph Kelly, a Roman Catholic priest and friend of the groom’s family, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Edina, Minn.
The couple met in 2013 at Yale, from which the bride received a master’s degree in environmental management and the groom received an M.B.A.
The bride, 28, is a fisheries management specialist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Silver Spring, Md., where she develops regulations and policies for domestic fisheries that address issues such as ending overfishing, rebuilding fish stocks, and ensuring seafood is sustainably caught. She graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Me.
She is a daughter of Cheryl L. Appeldorn and Thomas P. Schnettler of Edina.
The groom, 29, is a senior strategy manager for Amtrak in Washington. He graduated from Cornell.
He is a son of Catherine K. Zappi and Robert R. Zappi of Vienna, Va.
