G-Eazy performed last weekend at Power 106’s Cali Christmas event where he surprised attendees by bringing out YG to perform Hip Hop’s favorite anti-Donald Trump theme song “Fuck Donald Trump.”
Alongside Macklemore, G-Eazy is featured on the remix to the Still Brazy single. According to the rap game’s James Dean, the song represents something bigger following one of the most divisive presidential elections in U.S. history where Trump was named the next Commander in Chief despite Hip Hop’s cries against him.
“I was thankful that YG made that record,” he told DX during a red carpet interview. “It’s not only one of the best songs this year period, but it’s an important song for its time. When you feel something, then say it. We’re blessed to have these platforms and he did just that. So, YG is my homie. We talk all the time. When he hit me up like ‘Bro, do this verse for the remix,’ I said, ‘Say no more. That’s a no-brainer.’”

Before the year lets up, G-Eazy plans on presenting his biggest performance to date as he’s set to have a homecoming concert December 14 at Oakland’s Oracle Arena with Lil Yachty serving as opening act. Looks like the “Some Kind Of Drug” rapper has something knocked off his career bucket list.
“That show means the world to me,” he explained. “I’ve been going to Oracle Arena since I was a little kid. Went to a lot of Warriors games growing up. Would sit in the nosebleeds with the cheapest tickets and barely in there but was happy to be in the arena looking way down there at the players and thinking like that’s such a stage. To get to come back and headline that arena was a goal of mine for like the five years. I wrote down in my head and said one day I’m going to come down and do this. I feel blessed man. Yachty’s on it and I have a bunch of my homies come through and perform. So, we’re good.”
In the meantime, it’s safe to assume the Bay Area native is working on a follow-up to 2015’s When It’s Dark Out. One thing is for certain, after years of fans crying for a collaboration, G-Eazy went to Twitter to announce his work with popular dance DJ and producer Dillon Francis. And from the looks of things, there’s a chance we could see it soon.

“Dillon is the homie,” said G-Eazy. “Randomly, I’ve known him since 2009 or ’10 or something. We just been talking about it for a long time. As artists, it’s kind of crazy. It helps living in L.A. because so many artists live here. Still, with everyone’s schedule with touring, it’s hard to like sync up and find days that fit to get into the studio, so everything worked out. He came by my studio that I just got built out of my house. We made a slap. It’s coming.”
