This is an introductory course in Java (the most popular programming language). Learn the basics - variables, control flow, classes/objects, collections and more. You do not need any prior coding experience just a good attitude and curiosity!

Join our Java Back End instructor, Gil Pratte for an introduction to Java. This course is meant for beginners, no previous coding experience is necessary.

Outcomes

We'll do a hands-on workshop and introduce basic programming concepts in Java. Have you ever wondered how the contact list on your phone is automatically sorted? One method to create this function is called a bubble sort algorithm, and we will be writing the code to create a bubble sort.

Requirements

Laptop that is WiFi capable. Laptops are required to complete the course. However, if you do not have one and would simply like to attend as an observer, you're certainly welcome to sign up and you'll still learn a lot!
