A tweet war has erupted as a result of the NYTimes.com announcement of a pay wall scheme that will be put into effect by 2011.
The Twitter based conflict is between Felix Salmon of Reuters and Stacy-Marie Ishmael of the Financial Times Alphaville blog. Salmon finds the decision by The New York Times to be a mistake, while Ismael thinks it is a step forward in finding a means to make online media pay. But the conversation quickly descended into tit-for-tat bickering, with John Gapper of the Financial Times seemingly handing out an award at the end.
