GCA : GM Control Sheet
Here you will find downloads and information about GM Control Sheet (a GCA GM utility print sheet).
Please submit all bug reports, feature requests, questions, and comments at the official GURPS® Character Assistant support forum; I check the forum regularly and will do my best to help you.
Features & Examples
- Can print multiple clones/copies of up to ten character's stat block entries and wound/usage record checkboxes (n.b. you can print as many characters are you can load into GCA with GMCS, the ten character limit is only for controlling the number of clones). Useful for printing groups of mook/fodder NPCs.
- Can span multiple pages and wrap long trait names/text, if needed.
- Can print flagged traits from most GCA tabs, including attacks (both advantage and equipment based).
- Support for Super-Effort ST in the statistics table.
- Option to order the character list by (ascending or descending): turn sequence, dodge, name, or GCA default (i.e. tab order).
-
Option to group like-type traits together in the notable trait sections.
- Advantage/Disadvantage group order: cultural familiarities -> languages -> advantages -> perks -> disadvantages -> quirks.
- Skill/Spell group order: skills -> techniques -> ritual magic paths -> spells.
- Option to print the notable trait sections, advantages/disadvantages and skills/spells, either in discrete columns (i.e. ads/disads always in column one, skills/spells always in column two) or column by column (i.e. as a section fills a column, it will flow to the next available column).
- Option to include or omit trait modifiers, with or without values, for advantages/disadvantages.
- Option to include or omit the tech level (TL) of skills/spells.
- Option to print non-combat details for advantages and disadvantages.
- Option to print wound and usage record checkboxes for Hit Points, Fatigue Points, Stress Points, Energy Reserves, and Power Items at the end of the sheet.
- Options to change the sheet styling (i.e. fonts, lines, shading, etc).

Usage Tips
If you are having trouble getting traits, other than basic statistics, to display on the GMCS, try the following:
- Check the GCA program options, Editor Options section, and make sure that both the Use Simple Edit window and Allow marking items for the GM control sheet on Simple Edit options are checked.
- Edit the traits (Simple Edit only) that you wish to display in the GMCS and check the Include on GM Sheet checkbox. You will have to do this for each trait on each character.
Alternatively, if you're comfortable creating GDFs, you can create a data file which merges the tag/value "gms(yes)" into each trait that you wish to track; this can save you a lot of time if you routinely use the GM Control Sheet (seen in this thread). Following this idea, I've already created a GMCS Weapon Tagging GDF to tag all weapon traits for inclusion in the GMCS.
GM Control Sheet (2.17, )
If your copy of GCA isn't at least version 4.0.320 you'll need to go to the GURPS® Character Assistant Update Page to get and install the latest program and data updates before being able to use this sheet.
Save GMCS to your GCA sheets directory (default: Documents\GURPS Character Assistant 4\sheets\
).

Release Notes
- Changed the notable attacks table to only include mode names for attacks with more than one mode and where the name and mode name are not identical.
- Added a new option to the notable attacks table to force the printing of attack mode names even for attacks with only one mode. Note, however, that mode names which are identical to their attack names are still not printed, to avoid things like "Bite: Bite".
- Reorganized the options a bit.
