Starting today, we’ve made a new set of NYT API logos available on the Times Developer Network for you to use. The logos have been designed exclusively for external developers to place on sites and apps that use Times APIs.
We think the logos are a fun and easy graphic alternative to the text attribution we’ve
previously required for external apps. You can still use text attribution if it’s best for your site, but we encourage you to check out the new logos. They’ve been designed in a variety of color schemes
and sizes, ready to happily fit on everything from Web pages to iPhone apps. Also, these logos will help you communicate with your own users: one glance and they’ll know that your app uses NYT data.
You can grab the logos from our branding page and also get a short list of best practices. If you want to win brownie points with our legal department, you can also check out our updated Attribution Guidelines and Restrictions page, which details the ways you can properly attribute the Times in your site or app.
