Blogger Confession- Positive

Let's talk about a positive aspect of blogging! How has blogging influenced your real life in a positive way? (not related to books or reading) Have you learned to be organized or are you more social now for example?

Well I think that with blogging comes great responsibly. I have had some wonderful invitations that I never would have had the opportunity with out blogging. I have made some wonderful friends in real life that I never had made . I think that I am more social and willing to help someone in need. Yes I am already organized with the kids , but being able to schedule something makes life more bearable.

I am more willing to share my books with total strangers with in the blogging world. I have also made some amazing friends that with out their friendships that its nice to talk to someone about a good book or bad book. I think that with these friendships that I stepping out of my little box and being more social.

I don't want to name them all but with out them...I think that there are times that I want to stop blogging and just enjoy reading books. But I also think that their support and sharing of books , helps me get through all those times . Overall I blessed to have met them online and able to chat with them on other places now.

Thanks to Karen and Tiger for this topic...

  1. The blogging community really is a wonderful place when it comes to interacting with like mines :). I don't know if it was around when I was in middle school but it would have really been great to have it when I was hiding out in the library during lunch time.

  2. The community is what keeps me going too. There are so many times I've wanted to give up but the pros of blogging far outweigh any cons.

  3. I definitely felt like giving up completely over the past week: but reading blogs and interacting with people again (including Jane Eyre!) got me excited again and I realised I just couldn't stop now- not when I had much to look forward to!

    Divergent...man, I love that book!

  4. Ooh, pretty pictures! :-) I think blogging made me a bit more generous, too. When I saw that the book-blogging community routinely shared their books, giving them away, loaning them out, or distrubuting them through contests, it made me feel like this sharing habit was just natural for us. :-)

  5. Yes - the blogging community, love it! I have met some amazingly kind and generous bloggers who I now consider close friends. Blogging has also given me the confidence to talk about my opinions of books to my real life friends. Before book blogging I was always afraid of what someone would think of what I was reading (you know, the judgy book police type) but now I couldn't care less! ;)

  6. Great question (and answer!) I think I love blogging because it gives me a creative outlet with some accountability. And, it's fun to read back and remember the past through old posts.
