Get ready for Star Wars Rebels.
Disney XD debuted the first teaser for the upcoming animated Star Wars TV series during the premiere of the Mighty Med sitcom Monday, which aired during the 8:30 p.m. ET/PT half hour.
The 16-second trailer offers the first glimpse at the look and feel of Star Wars Rebels, which Disney officially announced back in May. The enthusiastic narrator says as a ship sails over the galaxy: “To battle the empire, a rebel alliance will form, the Jedi will rise and you will know the power of … The Force.”

Star Wars Rebels takes place between Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, which spans about two decades. The animated series is set “in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.”
During Comic-Con, concept art by Ralph McQuarrie and the official logo were released.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported in September that David Oyelowo and Freddie Prinze Jr. were among the names in the process of being cast as the voice leads.
