Galt Police arrested a man suspected of stealing a catalytic converter Wednesday morning.
A man had called police to report two men stealing the part from his car, officers say.
Police say officers were able to stop a vehicle that matched the description of the suspects’ car. Officers arrested 57-year-old Ludovico Carbonell for his alleged connection to the theft.
Four others were arrested hours later in Stockton, according to Galt Police, and a second stolen catalytic converter was recovered.
Police are investigating whether or not the group had stolen any other catalytic converters.
