ROSEVILLE –

Roseville police issued a silver alert for a mission elderly man. 78-year-old Gary Webber went missing from Glenwood Garden Manor. He has not had anything to eat since breakfast and is walking around in sweats and his slippers.

FOX40 News went to Glenwood Garden Manor and found the private group home had fences, iron gates, locks and alarms. However, Webber managed to make his escape.

“I didn’t expect that he would run away from us because of the fact because they’re used to coming in and out from my back door,” Co-Administrator Estrella Ramiscal said.

Ramiscal, who says Webber had only been at their home for two days, slipped out of a side door around 9 a.m. Saturday. She explained how Webber got out,

“Licensing will not let us lock anything from here. You cannot close it like that so, that’s how we found out he went out from this gate,” said Ramiscal.

Webber is a Caucasian male, approximately 5’7, gray hair, thin build and has a hunched over stature. Gary Webber was last seen wearing a blue or gray sweatpants and sweatshirt. He has dementia but is currently alert.

“Well what I observed from yesterday is that when of the family of the residents came down, he introduced himself to them. He said my name is Gary and how are you. So, I know he’s still alert,” said Ramiscal.

Estrella Ramiscal, who’s been taking care of the elderly for more than 30 years, says she’s sick to her stomach for she’s worried someone may hurt Gary.

“I’m kind of worried about what happened to him because it getting cold or somebody might pick him up just as fast as he went out,” said Ramiscal.

Webber’s daughters tell FOX40 their father had been suffering from paranoia delusions and they had to just separate their parents a week ago and place both of them into separate facilities.  The women tell us they believe their father is extremely confused and is trying to find his wife of nearly 40 years.
