DreamWorks is aiming to keep director Scott Waugh in the fold.

Scott Rosenberg (Con Air, Beautiful Girls) wrote the most current draft of the script. Much of the plot is being kept under wraps, but it’s said to center on a man who needs to pull off a seemingly impossible job and recruits his brother, who is described as being off the rails.
It’s based on an original idea by John Hlavin, a writer on FX’s The Shield who also wrote Underworld: Awakening.
Waugh is part of Bandito Brothers, along with cohort Mike McKoy. The two directed the 2012 surprise hit action movie Act of Valor and produced Waiting for Lighting, the documentary on skateboarder Danny Way.
Speed adapts the EA racing game and stars Aaron Paul, of Breaking Bad fame, and Dakota Johnson (the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey). The movie is set for a March 14, 2014, release.
Waugh is repped by WME and Bloom Hergott.
